This year I've been busy!

In November I turned minormassacre in for littering (3 points). In September I stole fresita's purse (-30 points). In January I didn't flush (-1 points). In July I ruled Iran as a cruel and heartless dictator (-700 points). In February I gave inferior_design a wet willie, then I took it back (-5 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-733 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!

October 6, 2005. British Columbia, Canada.

For anyone who doesn't know, the BCTF (British Columbia Teachers' Federation) is walking out tomorrow in order to strengthen their strike action. This means that 42, 000 teachers across BC are going to take the risk of being arrested, fined, or otherwise persecuted in order to better school conditions. In other words, there is no school for an undetermined amount of time. We could be back on Tuesday, or in a month. No one knows. The reason for their strike happens to be the fact that we are currently faced with one of the worst governments for school policies that there has been. I completely support the BCTF, in fact, I wish I could go out and picket for them right now! The teachers have tried to negotiate with the government's board, but each time they try to bring up a topic, the answer is "No." You just can't negotiate your way out of a brick wall. The government tried to force the teachers back to work, but this is a violation of even the most basic democratic human rights, which is why the teachers are now breaking the law. For their rights. For the rights of the student.

If you believe in the power of the union, strike action, or even the importance of basic rights and freedoms, repost this in your journal.
